Acepromazine is one of the most commonly used tranquilizers for cats, dogs, and horses with a low order of toxicity. May be used as an aid in controlling unmanageable pets during examination, grooming, or minor procedures; as a preventive to motion sickness; and to temporarily relieve itching and scratching from skin irritation.
